By creating an account or using NativeTutor AI ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms.
1. User accounts
You must provide accurate information, keep your password secure, and are responsible for activity under your account. Minimum age: 13. EU users under 16 need verifiable parental consent.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to cheat in ways that violate your school's academic integrity policy.
- Upload content you don't have rights to (copyrighted material, personal data of others).
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service.
- Submit content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit (especially involving minors).
- Use the Service to generate misleading academic credentials.
3. Subscriptions & payments
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. Prices are shown in your local currency where supported. Taxes may apply.
4. Refunds
Within 14 days of your first paid charge, we will refund you in full on request. After that, partial refunds may be granted at our discretion. Trial periods do not generate charges.
5. Intellectual property
We retain all rights to the Service, software, branding, and content we create. You retain ownership of content you upload.
6. AI limitations
The AI tutor can make mistakes, generate inaccurate or outdated information, and miss subtleties of your curriculum. You are responsible for verifying important information. The Service is educational and not a substitute for professional advice (medical, legal, financial, etc.). See our AI Disclaimer.
7. Content ownership
You own the content you submit. By submitting it, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display it solely to operate the Service for you. AI-generated explanations belong to you for personal study; resale or republication requires our written consent.
8. Termination
You may delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where possible.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" without warranties. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the greater of the amount you paid in the last 12 months or USD 100.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.
11. Dispute resolution & governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Governing Jurisdiction — to be confirmed]. Disputes are first addressed by good-faith negotiation, then binding arbitration where permitted, or the competent courts of the governing jurisdiction.
12. Changes to terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced via email and in-app at least 30 days in advance.
